Matthew Garchow, M.S. 2010

Matt defended his M.S. thesis in 2010, studying how environmental factors such as mudflat temperature and low salinity drive population dynamics of two estuarine sea slugs where their ranges overlap in northern California.

He presented his research in 2009 at meetings of the Southern California Academy of Sciences, the American Malacological Society, and the Western Society of Naturalists, winning a Best Student Talk award in the area of Ecology at the Southern California Academy of Sciences. Matt now works in environmental consulting.
